How real-estate agency Digible scaled email volume without growing the team

Kaitlyn Kocsis, Email Marketing Manager, shares how Chamaileon helped Digible scale to 150–200 emails per month while cutting build time in half.

Build Time Saved ~50%

Tell us about Digible — what does your team do?

Digible is an real-estate marketing agency focused exclusively on helping property management companies reach renters. We follow the renter journey here in the States — July through October is our busiest season, but people move all year round, so we're always running campaigns for our clients.

On average, we're doing between 150 and 200 emails a month. Every single one of those has different branding — different colors, fonts, and assets — because each client is a different property management company.

Our clients typically send us updated photography and assets throughout the year. Once we hear a client wants to run a campaign, we go straight into Chamaileon, pull in their assets, and build it out. Our target is 10 days from initial request to deployment, with an initial draft ready for the client within 3 days.

What did email production look like before Chamaileon?

Before Chamaileon, we were using multiple platforms and multiple vendors to do design. Some emails we were building in MailChimp or coded in-house. Other clients were very design-particular, so we were sending work out to a third party — and that was taking multiple days of turnaround time. They were in a whole different time zone across the world, so communicating edits was a massive process.

When we decided to consolidate onto one platform, our goal was something that had a heightened level of design control — being able to adjust things by pixel, to do things that most other platforms just don't allow — but still keep the code mobile, responsive, and really clean. And critically, not have a massive learning curve, because our team is not coding day to day.

It used to take us at least an hour and a half to two hours to build a single creative. That was the baseline we were trying to beat.

You evaluated other platforms before choosing Chamaileon — what stood out?

We evaluated quite a few platforms. Stripo was a big one — we actually went through a full trial with them. We also looked at BeePro and a few others.

One of the biggest differentiators was the HTML import feature. Because we had worked with that third-party vendor for so long, we had a huge library of previous HTML email files. We knew that if we could import that code and tweak it from there, we could make the transition work. Very few platforms can actually do that effectively.

Stripo has a similar import feature, but there were so many more errors — and we would have had to re-upload all the images manually. With Chamaileon, when you import an HTML file, it also auto-uploads all the images if they're hosted. No other platform we reviewed could do that. It's a small thing, but when you're doing five creatives a day, a two-minute saving per import is significant.

We also ran a lot of rendering tests across Gmail, Outlook, mobile, desktop, different devices. Chamaileon was where we fully trusted the responsiveness of the code. That trust was a huge factor.

How has the day-to-day changed since switching to Chamaileon?

Now that our whole team is fully trained — about a year of experience on the platform — we are averaging 45 minutes per creative. That's down from an hour and a half to two hours. I think it's saved us almost 50% of our actual creative build time.

A huge reason we can do that is the level of templatization Chamaileon allows. Saving component blocks has been a massive shift in our process. We go from client request to initial draft in three days now.

Another big change is that every single person on our email marketing team at Digible handles their own design work independently. Before, there was a lot of back-and-forth. Now, if someone needs help, I can jump in and we can be in the platform at the same time — Google Docs style — which also makes training new employees really easy.

Multi-column design used to be something not everyone on the team had experience with. Chamaileon made it approachable to learn how to do without any coding knowledge — getting stacking right on mobile, spacing, side-by-side layouts. That's unlocked a lot of creativity for the whole team.

We tripled our business.

What has this efficiency unlocked for the business?

We experienced really tremendous growth in volume last year — from 2024 to 2025 we tripled our business in terms of the number of emails we were doing. Speeding up our efficiency wasn't just nice to have — it was required to keep up. Without Chamaileon, we absolutely would have needed to hire more people.

But beyond just keeping up, we now have a lot more time for strategy. Our team has been talking about the fact that we've moved from what I call a 'fix-it stage' — just trying to stay above water and keep up with the business — to a growth stage. We can start asking the bigger questions: How do we build a recurring email product? How do we provide more value to our clients?

I feel like we've dreamed about what email could be for years, and now we're finally at the place where we can actually act upon those thoughts.

Any unexpected wins from the platform?

The folder system — it sounds simple, but it's made a massive difference. On other platforms you just have a giant folder of every creative you've ever made with no clean way to sort anything. In Chamaileon, we have everything sorted by property management company, with subfolders underneath. Creating a new subfolder, moving things around, copying templates from one space to another — it's so easy.

For me personally, because organization of our system falls under my role, this has made a huge difference in my sanity and my ability to tell the team exactly where to find things.

We also did not renew our Email on Acid subscription after switching to Chamaileon. We still do our own in-house testing through our ESP, but the level of trust in Chamaileon's responsive code output means we no longer need a separate rendering testing subscription. That was a direct cost saving.
